I have trouble with position:absolute when it comes to my embeded video.

With img it works just fine.

img {

position:absolute;
left:850px;
top:250px;
z-index:1;

}

What do I write instead of img?

just wrap your player, whatever it might be, in a div, use whatever class or ID name you want. replace "img" in your CSS with the class name (with a . before it) or the ID (with a # before it).

Something like this should work:

HTML code:

<div class="wrapper">
<div class="videoplayer"><!-- Flash Here --></div>
</div>

And your css code should be something along the lines of:

` .wrapper{position:relative;}

.videoplayer{position:absolute;top:5px;left:5px;}`
