Greetings,

In IE6 I am having troubles with getting my drop-down menu to have a black background all the way across. Any help?

Try taking the left float off the #menu div and setting width:100%; instead...worked in my testing environment so should be good on the page :)

  • I try that and the background extends half-way to the edge of the page on Firefox, although it works in ie6. Why is that? What can I do? Do an ie6 style? Jay Lauser about 7 years ago
  • yes, use a conditional comment for ie6: <!--[if IE 6]> <style type="text/css">float:none; width:100%;</style> <![endif]--> danwellman about 7 years ago
  • obviously with the correct selector there as well!! danwellman about 7 years ago
  • Ah yes that worked. Thank you! Jay Lauser about 7 years ago

You might want to rethink the HTML and JavaScript you have used a little though.

At the moment it doesn't work with a keyboard. At the very least you could add <a/> elements around menu titles which point to an index for each section.

  • I am planning on doing something similar to that. In fact, that is what I am doing right now. Jay Lauser about 7 years ago
