does Internet explorer render small Courier fonts ?

I'm trying to reduce their font-size but they stay big. I had to change to Arial to render text of smaller size.

Chech the website..

Have you checked your browser settings to see if you have a minimum font size specified?

Overall that site has very tiny fonts, 10px is only just legible, 7px is almost impossible to render properly... which may not be a good idea for accessibility, or visitor satisfaction.

  • So, everything looks perfect on your IE. It is just an issue with my IE ? I know.. the fonts are very small because my graphic designer wants it. Patrick almost 9 years ago

You may want to be more specific about which text you are referring to. The link you provided rendered nearly identically for me between IE8 and Chrome 5.

Before even trying to find a fix for this "problem" you may want to re-evaluate WHY you want such small text, and whether it is absolutely necessary. For example: reading the tiny little copyright notices underneath those small pictures is pretty much a nightmare, and having them that small will probably not do your users any good.

  • I'm referring to the labels: "Editor", "Where", "When" they looks big in IE. It is not much choice the size of the text, but the graphic designer decided that. Patrick almost 9 years ago
  • Perhaps you should attach a screenshot of what it looks like for you, then tell us why you think that is incorrect. Justin Ryan almost 9 years ago
