Hi,

I've added a custom sidebar to my wordpress installation and needed to edit the functions.php like so:

<?php

if ( function_exists('register_sidebar') ) {

register_sidebar(array('name'=>'sidebar',
    'before_widget' => '<li>',
    'after_widget' => '</li>',
    'before_title' => '<h4>',
    'after_title' => '</h4>',
));
 register_sidebar(array('name'=>'sidebarcustom',
    'before_widget' => '<li>',
    'after_widget' => '</li>',
    'before_title' => '<h4>',
    'after_title' => '</h4>',
));

} ?>

Any idea why I'm getting the error?

Any direction would be appreciated - thank you ~

  • Sorry, forgot to add - the link I've provided shows the error I'm getting on all pages except for the one I'm using the custom template for. :( Jennifer almost 7 years ago

The function sidebarcustom isn't declared anywhere or in the wrong place. You are calling get_ sidebarcustom() when using register_siderbar().

Other then that generic help I do not know I'm no Wordpress expert.
