Hi, there. I was struggling with this issue in gmail. Tried everything. (text-align="left" while aligning table to center. nothing)

The only fix that I found was to use nested tables. It might not be 100% beautiful and all that. But it works. E.g. If you want your table centered, but your text aligned to left, simply do this:

<!-- This is the outer table> <tr><td> <table style = "text-align:left"> <!-- Start your main table here --> Your content

It could be that in Gmail and Yahoo, the align <td> property you set at line 12 overrides the align properties for paragraphs. Either that or the align property is not supported for paragraphs. Try removing all the align properties you've set and instead wrap a <center> around the table and/or use inline css text-align: left; for paragraphs.

In the older version of Gmail it works correctly. Its the newer version that's the problem.

I've seen this happen before when there is a center align on a td cell outside the td cell with the content. This can happen when you are using a 100 percent width table to use a background color.
