  • I would call it a usability disaster. I would have had no idea that those were form controls were it not for the "this is a checkbox", since such images are commonly used to bullet non-interactive "lists of features". There is a good reason why browsers let form controls be drawn by the user's operating system: consistency and expectation. Richard Grevers about 10 years ago
