I've read the articles online (all that I found anyway) but haven't found how to do this...

Basically, is it possible to get a layout that looks for example like this:

| A | |
| | B |
| |____________|
| | | |
| | C | D |
| | | |
| | | |

I'm guessing it's not only possible, but also simple, but I'm not sure how. :)

The screenshot is of my site as it is currently, but I'm having serious problems with the "Round" UI so I'm looking at 960 to help me out.

  • Clarify something for me, Anders. It seems like the screenshot looks a lot like what you say you want. What am I missing? Do you want column A to extend further downward? Abinadi Ayerdis almost 6 years ago

One possible solution is this, assuming that you are using base 12 gird:

... code before (probably a wrapper start)
<div class="grid_4">A</div>
<div class="grid_8">
    <div class="grid_8">B</div>
    <div class="grid_3">C</div>
    <div class="grid_5">D</div>
... code before (probably a wrapper end)

Of course, you can play with the grid_ classes a bit to get the right size for the right base.
