My jQuery Nivo Slider(nivo.dev7studios.com/) does not transition in IE7 at: http://www.reynoldsadvertising.com

I can't seem to figure out what's wrong with the code. I contacted the creator of the plug-in and he said he didn't see anything wrong with it either.

I'd like to also use the code recommended on the Nivo site to keep the images from flashing on load, but when I used it, the images didn't show up at all in IE7.

Any ideas?

  • Wanted to add something to this... The top bar with the logo and text that says "Talk to a real live person..." needs to be above (in z-index) the header because eventually site navigation will live there....this is just the first page of a buildout. You need to remove the last comma from your nivo functions in your header. IE7 will fall over here expecting another function...

so change ---> captionOpacity:0.65,

to ---> captionOpacity:0.65

and you'll be set. :)

The first thing that jumps out at me is that you're using XHTML yet throwing inline JavaScript into your document's head without marking it as CDATA. The W3 validator finds a whole bunch of other problems that should probably be fixed, too.

Thank you so much! Can't believe I missed that. Everything is working perfectly now.
