I have a folder with over 100 small images in it. I want to make an animated GIF, but don't want to do it one by one adding each image into the frame. I saw a video that with ImageReady you can import a folder and it will do it for you, but I don't have ImageReady. I have Photoshop CS4 and I can't figure out how to do it. I also have fireworks CS4. Does anyone know how I can make an Animated GIF by importing the folder?

This feature wasn't brought into CS4 when IR was merged with Photoshop, although it has been added to Photoshop CS5. See here for confirmation...

It may be possible to easily create an animated gif from a bunch of separate images using the following software:

In my opinion, the best program (Windows) for creating animated GIF's is Gamani's GIF Movie Gear. Check it out (there is a free full 30-day trial that only nags you), you should be able to select all of your images at once to create the animation.

The free, open-source package ImageMagick will do that quite nicely. Mac and Windows binaries are here:
