I have the following (temporary) page:

It seems like the sidebar is lined up correctly with the body text in Safari and Firefox for Windows, but it's giving a totally different position for Firefox on the MAC.

I'm using margin-top: 108px;

Is there any other way to position this sidebar vertically that would work across all of these browsers?!?

  • They look about the same to me. What "sidebar" are you referring to? Nathan Duran about 9 years ago
  • The sidebar with the grey bar that says "PTV Projects"...on Firefox + MAC it's too high - it's above the body text. Thanks! redconservatory about 9 years ago

  • Ah, maybe it's just my version of Firefox. I'm on Leopard on Firefox 3.6.3! redconservatory about 9 years ago
  • I'm running 3.6 and I haven't done anything to the default installation. Nathan Duran about 9 years ago

I'm seeing the same as Nathan, a correctly aligned sidebar. I tested in Firefox 3.6.3 and in an old 3.0 version, both on OSX. So probably it has something to do with your Firefox installation: did you tweak any settings? Or maybe you have text zooming enabled to more or less than 100%?

Otherwise, can you post a screenshot?

  • I think I know what it is now that a few people have looked at it. Great to know it actually looks okay however. redconservatory about 9 years ago
