Hi again,

I was looking at Miu Miu's website and liked the simple menu's and wondered how the size changing effect is done on the active page. Is this a simply effect for a beginner?

The other thing I liked is the background image on each page. I've tried this (width: 100%; position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; height: auto;) but I get a white space at the bottom when I resize the window (proportional) and I'm using a bigger image then they are.

Thanks for any help.

Steve

the background at this site is realised with javascript and i think it is not so simple to realize it by youreself (except youre good in js ;)

another way to realize a similiar effect using css is using a height of 100% on the img. therefor you have to give the give the height of 100% to any of the objects surrounding the image.

I hope this example is enough to explain what I mean.

<html>
<head>
<style type="text/css">
    html{overflow: hidden;}
    body, #bgimage, #backgroundcontainer{
        height: 100%; width: auto;
    }
    body{padding: 0; margin: 0;}
    #bgimage, #backgroundcontainer{
        position: absolute;
    }
</style>
</head>
<body>
    <div id="backgroundcontainer">
        <img src="testimage.jpg" id="bgimage"/>
    </div>
</body>
</html>
