Hi guys.

I've searched high and low for an eCommerce solution (both open source and commercial) which caters specifically for real-time availability based online accommodation bookings. Can anyone recommend any such system? I really need something which is designed to be used for accommodation booking rather than bolted onto an existing CMS. Australian based solutions/providers would be advantageous, however, not absolutely necessary.

I have a feeling that I will need to: 1. get a developer to incorporate this functionality into an existing ecommerce system 2. build one from scratch with this functionality

If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it.

believe it or not I found a site yesterday that may have what you're looking for.

http://www.availabilitybookingcalendar.com/

they have a number of other calendar-oriented scripts and seemed to be pretty reasonable with their customization pricing (I needed a few tweaks added to their event booking script).

if that site doesn't have the features you need use the drop down atop the page to check out their other calendar options.

Thanks for this. Its not quite what I am looking for, but still a useful bookmark.

I think I have found what I am looking for with Magento and this extension: http://ecommerce.aheadworks.com/catalog/product/view/id/43/

Hope this may be of use to anyone else trying to do the same thing as I am :)
