Buck 5

I have a client who purchased a Flash template. Inside the .FLA is a rather large, embedded .AVI seamless-looping video clip. I'd like to either (a) reduce the embedded file quality, (b) cut the frame rate from 30-20, (c) recompress the whole video at lower quality, or (d) all of the above. It's just hard to figure out how to "get to" the embedded video and do anything with it. Does anyone have any thoughts?

AVI is quite a fat format, there are other formats which are better for use as online video such as mpeg4. Your best bet is probably to get the AVI (there should be a folder containing the the AVI and flash files), and convert it to an mpeg4 video using a freeware app (there are many freeware tools to do this). Then once you have done this you can then re-encode the swf file. Again there are many tools to do this, some are paid apps, others, like FFmpeg are free :D
