I am trying to ape the comment styling seen on http://net.tutsplus.com/ but think it involves more than just fiddling with the styles.css file. Can anyone help?

Do you mean the example comments throughout the tutorial, or the actual comments right at the end of the article?

The actual comments used by Nettuts are created using a wordpress plugin and styled using a custom theme file.

You can see the exact code used in both files using Firebug

  • Ah, I understand. I'm basically looking at how I can move the avatar to the left like they have and style the comment like the basic speech bubble. Liam Brazier about 7 years ago

Yes I meant their actual comments. Do you know the name of the plugin to get me started by any chance? Thanks.

It's jQuery: the script is here.

  • I'm confused - their comments are styled by this js? Liam Brazier about 7 years ago
  • JS/AJAX is the expanding effect. The styling text and textarea box is CSS. It is a Wordpress site, but jQuery is not obviously in a plugin. songdogtech about 7 years ago

I believe (by looking at their style.css) they have extra divs in their comments.php page - but I think thats protected so I can't see it(?). As such a simple copy and paste of the relevant bits to MY style.css doesn't work on it's own.

Then look around Wordpress for a jQuery comment plugin.
