Mode 0

Hi,

When I zoom out the web page using the css zoom function in IE8 standard mode and then resize the browser window, the text starts wrapping before it is supposed to. How can I correct this?

To replicate this, set IE8 standard mode using <head><meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=8" />

put in the following as the body

<body style="zoom:30%;">
<P>quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog's tail.</P>
</body>

then make the browser page smaller. You will notice that the text would start wrapping even while there is plenty of space on the right.

Would appreciate any help

Thanks

I think your biggest problem is that CSS zoom is not fully supported by most browsers, as it's really a CSS3 property. Check it out on CSS3.com.
I don't know the full use case that requires you to use this zoom, so I couldn't suggest another method, but I'm fairly sure there is another way to do what you're trying to do.
In order to get more help on that, I would edit your question to include other information regarding your situation and provide an example of your code, and then we can take a look and give you more information.
