Thanks in advance for looking at this.

Check out http://www.donotbendinc.com/index.php.

I keep getting validation errors on it that I can figure out:

Line 167, Column 7: end tag for "div" omitted, but OMITTAG NO was specified Line 167, Column 7: XML Parsing Error: Opening and ending tag mismatch: div line 48 and body Line 168, Column 7: XML Parsing Error: Opening and ending tag mismatch: body line 47 and html Line 168, Column 7: XML Parsing Error: Premature end of data in tag html line 2

Basically the validator insists there is some tag that isn't closed properly or overlapping or somehow wrong. I've gone through the html a number of times and can't find it--for the life of me.

Any ideas?

The document is missing a closing div tag for container. you're missing 1 after the footer, it should look like:

 <!--Here ends the footer -->
</div>
</div>

Revalidate it and see if you get anymore errors; I suspect they're all related to that.

When you use the W3C validator, go to More Options and tick the Show Source box. That gives you a list of errors, but also your page source below, so it makes finding errors a bit easier.

Maria, try to delete comments or inline scripts if possible. You are validating HTML so HTML it is. Keep it as RAW as possible. Remember that the validation program is still written by human, it ain't perfect. If you have Firefox installed you could try to download HTML tidy add on. After installing HTML tidy you could clear you codes with HTML tidy. I hope this help.
