Hi, This website wouldn't show up correctly in IE6. The Sidebar is just not where it is supposed to be, the footer looks weird and the background of the content wrapper doesnt even repeat-x. God, I hate IE6.. Am not too familiar with IE6 quirks and ways to fix them. Can anybody help me, or just point me the right direction? Help much appreciated.

A quick guess (without looking, parallels giving me trouble on Snow Leopard) I'd say you have the 3px bug - try adding display:inline; to any floated element that also has a width set.

I had a quick look in IE - bit of a struggle to get your files to play with, but a very quick fix for the main area issues is to add float: left to div#main

currently it's not wrapping the content, so backgrounds and sidebar are awry...

you might find the same issue is affecting footer.

shout if it's still broken...

For the footer, you don't need this css:

#footer ul {
display:inline;
float:right;
width: auto;
}

instead, you can use this:

#footer ul {
text-align:right;
}

This should, fix your borders in IE 6, if not try

#footer {
zoom:1;
}

in a IE 6 specific stylesheet.

Thanks, Tony. I could get rid of almost every quirk. Adding float and inline to the elements helped some. And realizing IE6 apparently doesnt like negative margins and margin-tops in general.

Only thing left to fix now is the footer, which I might just leave as is, since its nothing that affects usability.

And thanks for the link, good resource for the next time something goes wrong in IE6. (Never had that trouble before, really.. Must have been doing something different this time around ;)
